It is well known that the finer the diameter of polypropylene fibers, the stronger the oil absorption capacity per unit weight of the material. Produced using the most advanced production technology, the pure polypropylene has an extensive absorption area of 4000m2/g per gram, which is substantially large compared to the surface area of 1000m2/g of short fibers. The larger the surface area of exposed fibers, the stronger the oil absorption capacity.
